The 1995 American film featuring Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman is a well known thriller. The film refers to the seven deadly sins that are:
- Gluttony
- Greed
- Sloth
- Envy
- Wrath
- Pride
- Lust
It takes place in a nameless city and it follows the story of two homicide detectives who track down a sadistic serial killer who chooses his victims according to the seven deadly sins. Brad Pitt stars as Detective Mills, a hopeful but naïve rookie whilst Morgan Freeman takes on the role of William Somerset, an experienced detective. Together they trace the killers every step, witnessing the horrific aftermath of his crimes one by one. Step by step they move closer to the ultimate fate that neither of them could have predicted.
